Our Vision

To be the premier organization in Northeast Ohio that promotes Organization Development philosophy and practice. We serve as the expert leading edge Organization Development resource for the local business and not-for-profit community.

Our Mission

The O.D. Connection is dedicated to the strengthening and advancement of Organization Development theory and practice by providing forums for learning, professional association, and service for the Northeast Ohio Organizational Development Community and professionals interested in Organization Development.

Our Values

  • Integrity – demonstrating honesty in the work we do within and outside of the O.D. Connection
  • Openness to Learning – the willingness to learn from our peers and experts in our field
  • Sharing – the willingness to share knowledge and information with others

Exposure to a variety of Organization Development concepts, methods and experience is essential to growing as a professional.

Our Purpose

ODC is a professional development organization and resource that provides opportunities to:

  • Network with other professionals;
  • Develop and contribute organization development knowledge and skills to our members; and
  • Act as a resource to contribute and transform our community.

Our Strategy

We accomplish our mission by conducting programs that present a mix of theoretical, professional, and practical topics and activities. Programs are planned to address and promote professional development, change initiatives, networking, education and learning, and technological advances.

We provide a service to the Northeast Ohio community through an annual philanthropic project which allows our members to make a contribution while collaborating with other O.D. practitioners.

Our Organization

Leadership is provided by a volunteer board that maintains the O.D. Connection’s legacy, creates a vision and the strategy to manifest the values that bring us together. Five to seven programs are conducted on an annual basis.

Our Audience/Constituency

Our audience/constituency is composed of internal and external Organization Development consultants, human resources professionals, academics and students. This includes seasoned Organization Development practitioners, individuals launching their career in Organization Development as well as individuals interested in exposure to Organization Development principles and practices.

Our Affiliation

The O.D. Connection is a regional network of the O.D. Network. Our relationship is mutually supportive and non-hierarchical. We are not a chapter. We are an autonomous affiliate establishing our own fees and professional activities. Viewed as a whole, the National and regional "networks" truly form a circuitry of Organization Development professionals. O.D. Network members enjoy benefits such as these:

  • The O.D. Practitioner, a quarterly journal providing information and insights about current Organization Development themes and trends across the country.
  • A national roster.
  • National Job Exchange Services, with information about full and part-time work, project work and consulting opportunities.
  • A benefit plan for medical, life, dental, disability and liability insurance that meets individual needs.
  • Discounted annual dues for the O.D. Network. For additional information on how to become a member of the O.D. Network log onto their website.
